Curriculum
St. Dominic has been recognized as a "hidden gem" in the community. For over 100 years, St. Dominic Elementary School has been known for its "wonderful long heritage of strong, quality Catholic education."
Our dedicated and loving teachers aspire to create a curriculum that connects reading, writing, thinking, and listening skills across the subjects taught.
Curriculum is set by the Diocese of Rockville Centre and follows the New York State Standards. Along with the foundation of religion, language arts, mathematics, science, and social studies, St. Dominic students receive instruction in art, music, physical education, and Spanish. All classes have a set of iPads to use in the classrooms. Grades 5 and 6 are given a Chromebook to use in school and at home.
